Stater bros yucaipa1/5/2024 ![]() I had a fever, couldn't smell, couldn't taste, had a cough, sore throat, earache, and a lot of congestion. I was given a doctor's note, and I took it to my manager. I was hired in September 2021, and was fired on Monday, November 22, 21, due to illness, the past few days. I worked at Stater Bros in Victorville Ca, off Hook Blvd. my life matters! My elderly mothers life matters! Now lets move onto the fact that the same managers allow trump parades to end and congregate in the parking lot every single Sunday! How is this? Why as a member of the community do I have to arrange my trip to your store to avoid a hostel environment? It is clear my the articles submitted and published in our local paper here in Yucaipa and Calimesa that the majority of us are against this sort of nonsense! I guess it's time to bid farewell to a company who only cares for those who vote red but doesn't bleed it! I am beyond disappointed with the chain, managers and employees and the customers who believe their rights to not wearing a mask is more important than my life! I shouldn't have to announce my medical reasons as to why it protects me! Now that it's clear the company doesn't care for me or my life I will spend my $1, 500+ a month somewhere else who has the balls to stand up for what's right by the community and not politically. Lets first begin with the fact that the managers are not requiring the staff or customers to wear masks The store is full of people not complying with the state of California mandates! NEWS FLASH. We want to keep shopping - safely - at Staters.ĭecemstore location 11635 Bryant St. We don't think masking is necessary to protect your health or the that of our employees. As you may have noticed, non-maskers are certainly welcome to come into our store, any time. approves of customers doing their own thing and NOT masking up if they don't want to. If you're not going to protect all of us, please put a prominent sign out front saying "Stater Bros. The newest Covid variant is much more contagious than Delta. Your failure is also dangerous for your employees, especially cashiers, but all your workers, those taking care of produce, stocking shelves, cleaning, etc., are part of your responsibility to exert reasonable safety policies - and the law - to keep them healthy. We've been loyal customers for many, many years - credit cards ending in 8907 or 3579 or 0766. Our purchases won't seriously hurt you - we spend only about $300+ per month at Stater Bros. All of us, of any age, are jeopardized by your gross carelessness. It is totally unfair for management to allow this. You have no signage about masks, and no one enforcing the safety law. CUSTOMER SERVICE should always be #1 & she was not offering that at her check stand.Īs of today, 1/31/21, at around 8:15AM, I saw 8 Staters' customers without masks on at Fairview/Baker. Well, it was two, but THAT is not the point. She corrected the situation but was less than apologetic when she made light of the situation by saying "it was only one item". Obviously NOT paying attention to her job. Then, the gentleman in line behind me noticed she started to ring his items along with mine. I did bring it to her attention that I had a case of water on bottom of basket as she nodded & went back to converse with her associates. ![]() Never stopped talking to her clerks, never once acknowledged that I was there no greeting. The whole time I was loading my items, the cashier was discussing her plans (with two of the box clerks) on what she will be purchasing for her boyfriend for Valentine's Day. I was very disheartened when I approached the check stand & proceeded to put my items on the belt. I am a frequent shopper at various Sater Bros markets however, Palm Desert (off of Varner & Washington) location is closest to my residence.
